Tales of an Asteroid Junkrat

You are an Asteroid Junkrat making a living doing rescue operations in the asteroid belt, but who has the time or money to put together a real ship these days? Throwing something together from scrap in 1 minute will have to do!

Made for the Global Game Jam 2021. The theme was "Lost and Found".

How to play:

Build a junk ship out of scrap parts, drag and drop parts from the conveyor belt in the hanger. Be quick as you don't have much time!

Parts:

• Regular blocks: connective tissue of your ship they give your more hull integrity
•  Thrusters: Push your ship around in space, make sure you have some thrusters on the back and both sides so you can steer
• Lasers: useful for destroying asteroids
• Auto Turret: protect your ship automatically against incoming asteroids
• Shield: Create a protective bubble around your ship
• Missile: A powerful weapon which can destroy multiple asteroids

Once you've thrown a ship together try to survive! Get points by picking up citizens and space sheep, arrows will guide you to them.

Controls:

Building:

• Click on parts on the conveyor then on blue squares to place
• Mouse scroll to rotate the part you are holding

Advanced: Hold left-ctrl and use mouse wheel to change the control of thrusters. 

• W - arrow points up
• A - arrow points left
• D - arrow points right

Flying:

•  WASD to use thrusters
• Space to fire lasers
• Shift to fire missiles
